Borresen was the yard for Dragons at the time, this yard also handled the transition from wooden to polyester dragons.

This was done so that ships of both materials could (and still can) sail against each other in competition without handicap.

Borresen himself was a very good sailor who won some championships. The yard still exists today.

Dragons are also built in the Netherlands, by Joop Doomernik in Den Bosch.

The dragon is a sporty boat,great for sailing, but behaves very confident on the water because of the huge ballast weight of 1000 kg on a total weight of 1700 kg, a dragon can actually not tip over.

The last photo shows the boat in the water, this is a photo from several years ago, in the meantime the hull has been painted blue.

The many trim options may be a bit intimidating, but are not strictly necessary to sail the boat.
